Frida

Gizza introduced an homage to Frida Khalo and it's all over the feeds, not to be left out I created my own version of salute to the beautiful artist. As a real life art educator I just love when creators in SL take inspiration from well known artists, I think it furthers our appreciation and education in the arts and the artist work. I paired the Gizza top, headpiece and bouquet with Junbug gatcha flowing skirt in olive, the hair is from Leltuka and the Lazuri jewelry I loved because I could customize the colors to be many and varied. The home accessories are from Zinnia and the structure is Cheeky Pea's Sweetwater outdoor room. Look up Khalo's work, read about her, she was an amazing woman and artist. I am glad Gizza chose to celebrate her.

A Little Nip Slip

I have been very much in love with my Maitreya mesh body but dressing a mesh body does present challenges when the alpha hud doesn't quite work with a slit or a neckline. Lingerie though seems to have lots of choices as designers are coming up with appliers to work with all the mesh body choices and many are lovely but when Ely dropped this bra and panty set on me I was over the moon with how sexy this set is and to top it off it come with appliers for my Maitreya body and Belleza, Slink, TMP, and and Omega hud along with the system layer! The panties are sexy and cut so they show some nice cheekage from the back and well some nip slip makes for the possibility of a little sexy playtime. Hat's off to Elymode for making second life a little sexier! How do you Burlesque?

 Flair For Events presents: BURLESQUE February 1st to 15th, 2015 The quote for the event is "Glamour above all things.” ― Dita Von Teese. I received a sneak preview from Olaenka Chesnokov of oOo poses and I was SOOOO excited when I opened the package! Olaenka made some wonderful poses for this event called "adelaide" and an incredibly awesome pose prop that had me feeling ever bit the sexy burlesque performer. The prop is called "Follies" and is a peep show style box, with light bulbs surrounding whomever dares to show themselves off in it. There are 11 poses that will highlight every angle of your body so you can tease and titillate to your hearts content. I am looking forward to this event and a huge thank you to Olaenka Chesnokov for a great addition to my pose/prop collection!

Dotty and oOo

 A few things I am excited about today; a day off work, a beautiful new gown, and wonderful new poses! The gown was created by a dear model friend who has branched out into photography and fashion design, Adriel Huntress as been a busy bee creating her line and boutique called PREY with some imaginative and creative items. Dotty is the name of this gown and it lives up to it's name, A sexy plunging neckline a fun dotted skirt all in bright red, I would give the prettiest ladybug a run for her money in this dress. The pose I just love, it's from the oOo Margerthe collection that Olaenka Chesnokov created for FLF and a huge shout out to her for some of the best poses in my inventory. I topped the look off with a fascinateor  from LODE and I am loving the enVOGUE hair that creates a cute bow in the back. A fun look that makes me smile and know that I don't have to just be part of a crowd but that I can stand out in a crowd.

Hearts and Lingerie

I have been all about the shopping events lately and if I openly admitted to everything I have purchased I am sure someone would suggest that I might need a 12 step program for my shopping addiction. I plan to blog everything I purchase (so much and so little time). Right now though, a quick post about a cute little pose/prop combo by {NanTra} that I grabbed at The Liason Collaborative. I am not big into Valentines Day, I personally think you should show someone you love and care about them 365 days a week not just one day a year but I do love a good pin up girl prop and this fit the bill in that dept. There are mirror poses which I always appreciate and various hearts for each pose. The lingerie is from Zaara and part of the sets that were created for the Maitreya Mesh Body which I am really enjoying. I have The Mesh Project body as well but the ease of use the Maitreya one will end up keeping the TMP one on a shelf in the closet. I especially like the ease of using the Maitreya hud and I have to admit the multiple huds for TMP made me crazy. Appliers don't bother me use it and put it away, but a shopping hud and an alpha hud and a styling hud was really annoying to me. The body looks good, and maybe I am not that picky but the subtle differences in the bodies are not significant enough to make me love one more than the other, for me it's the huds. Most of my skins are either glam affair or League using my skins is pretty easy with the pre-programmed glam affair skin matches and League has the appliers so it's easily one of my pluses on the Maitreya side. The one thing I would say is demo demo demo! See what works for you and what you like, before you invest in a mesh body. So there you have it short and sweet, and fyi, tons of good things at the Liason Collaborative its worth checking out.

Time to Take a Rid

There is a smart and extremely talented lady in SL named Elysium Eilde who is the creator of Elymode. I have known her almost as long as I have been in SL. I have always admired and appreciated her talent and generosity, her skills are many as well as her attributes. You are probably wondering what does that have to do with this post, but well it has everything to do with it because that well made riding crop and the cool poses you see in these photos, both made by her and both extremely well made. That’s what happens you when ooze skill and vision. You make good stuff.  I had a lot of fun shooting these photos; my normal personality is not large and in charge but dressing up and playing the part for photos is something that is definitely right up my alley. When this riding crop arrived in my inventory I knew immediately exactly what to wear, and where I wanted to shoot it. The crop itself is made so very well. All the way down to the details and textures. You can see a close up view of just the crop here and it’s a nice piece of equipment all on its own but that wasn’t enough for Ely, nope, she went and made some great poses to go with it, 7 in all, so photographers can cheer a prop and poses that work perfectly with it! There is a crop for each hand so you don’t have to edit it back and forth, and mirror poses included (with a little editing of the crop placement I was able to use the mirror pose and get the behind my back look).  Thank you Ely for the welcome addition to my inventory! There are just some things a girl wants to ride hard and a crop can come in handy ;-)

The outfit, all latex and very sexy makes it appear I know what to do with that riding crop. Lots of details from the studs and seams on the Sassy halter, to the lace up back on  {{ICLy}}  skirt,  show off the attention to detail and quality. The boots and gloves by Donima’s Duo are so well made I want to find more things to wear them with and come with an amazing hud so I can create ALL the colors I want! I am wearing my Maitreya Lara mesh body which I am really enjoying, I will create another post and fill you in on all the reasons I like it so much soon but for now suffice it to say yes you can wear a lot of things with the mesh body if you are willing to edit and buy quality mesh clothing.
