Pristine

All White_001 copy

Hi all, a quick post as I am still very busy in RL with an ill family member but I wanted to get this post in because I really liked the shoes and dress from the Kustom9 event. The Gali by soy. dress is super modern and simple but still offers a lot of minimalist style. It doesn't call for overdone jewelry or hair and the Gali by soy. sunglasses pair beautifully with it. The shoes are AMAZING from Glamistry and so very cool with an spear like heel and platform that will have all eyes on your sexy legs and feet. The shoes as with most Glamistry shoes have a multitude of color combination choices when you buy all the colors. Here I have them in all white to compliment this ensemble but I promise you the color choices/combinations are many and all look fabulous! These shoes pretty much say feminine and fierce! Hurry over to Kustom9 get these items and many more items as this round as always  has some super awesome offerings!

Color Commentary

CMP TURQ

I love color, nevermind that I usually am always dressed in black, I actually love color. Being a RL artist and art educator my life is filled with color and that's probably why I was attracted to blogging for Color Me Project. Every round is a different color and gets me out of my black comfort zone. The upcoming round opening on the 25th is turquoise. There is some really cute things in it, this skirt and top are from zOOm and it's cute and quirky with it's tribal print. The skirt has a high waist, is short and tight adding some sex appeal to the whole outfit. I really think I may have to start being more purposeful in adding color to my every day wardrobe! I added one of my new favorite pairs of shoes, ECHIUM from Glamistry, I mentioned them in a earlier blog where I wore an all ivory pair but when you buy the fatpack with ALL the colors, you get so many color combinations you will be wearing these endlessly. The snakeskin accents create a pop of color that just makes them unique and fun to wear. The hair from [monso] called Min is available at Kustom9 as well.

Night Time is the Right Time

Night Time is the Right Time

I have been out in NYC for a bit and finally returned home and there are so many great things needing to be blogged! I am very excited and super inspired after spending some time people watching and shopping when I wasn't working. Night time was my favorite time to people watch, the styles and individuality especially in the East Village was fun to take in. I think I need to be bolder in some of my fashion choices! So in that thought in mind I put together this outfit with pieces from this round of Color Me Project which features black as the color,  my all time favorite go to fashion color and from Glamistry's Kustom9 releases. It's sexy, bold and definitely has attitude for days. The shoes have a great hud for customizing and have all kinds of stylish details in the chain and heels, and the sunglasses, are just plain cool. The Jinx fur cape is fun and well made as well as the Xen Hat's Fedora and Wertina biker pants. Check out both events, there will be something for you at each one!

A Hint of Paris

A Hint of Paris

Exciting Sunday when two events open up for my shopping addiction! Liaison Collaborative and Kustom9 both opened their doors today and I got my wallet out and went to town, I will try to blog some more of the stuff I got this week, but forgive me if I am slow, RL is about to get crazy busy! For this outfit I am wearing some pieces from both the Liaison Collaborative and Kustom9. The "Paris" crop top (Liaison Collaborative) is a cute little tee with a lace overlay, the skirt, boots and rings are all from the Kustom9 event and are some of my new favorite purchases. I love the gemstone decoration on the boots that dresses them up for a more fashionable statement. I used my Maitreya mesh body for this, the stockings are an applier and the jewelry is from Mandala. The bow on my Lala hair from Truth added just the right touch for me and I ended up faving this outfit in my inventory!

Just Wait.

Just Wait.

Waiting, sometimes it's actually a good thing, allows you to gain perspective, build anticipation of what's to come and creates an excitement that immediate gratification doesn't allow. Sometime's it feels like an eternity, nothing will change and all will be lost. I constantly try to stay with the more optimistic version of waiting although I can be guilty of being impatient. I wait for event to open counting the hours until I can see the newest and brightest offerings SL's amazing creators come up with. I spend way to many Lindens on things I may or may not wear or use just because artistically I so appreciate the work they have put in to something and how it shows in the detail and the care that in which it was made. I try to be more selective these days but it's hard, still I have slowed down buying every gorgeous gown or dress since I am really a jeans and sweater kind of girl. This outfit I would wear in RL and would probably be a go to on a regular basis. Simple, easy and comfortable but stylish. I picked up the Pure Poison Amy flats at Kustom9 along with my new favorite pair of jeans from Fishy Strawberry.  The jacket and shirt is a combo from Cold Logic and normally has stuff a little too tame for me but when I mix and match I find somethings I really like, again, well made trumps almost everything and I have not even been disappointed with any of these designers. I have other things in my life I am having to wait on right now, so I guess I am being a little reflective, it's hard to wait, especially when you have no control over it, it can get depressing, but optimism is a sweet gift to those that have to wait, so now that I have hit up a lot of the current events, I will wait for the next round of events, optimistic that it will be worth the wait!

Cold Winter Day

Cold Winters Day

So I am sitting here at home watching a very cold rain; it was suppose to have been snow but alas no such luck. I know some of you are sick of snow and winter but for those of us who rarely see the white stuff the thought of a snowy day is as exciting as hearing those magical words..."School is closed for a snow day". It is very cold though and I am keeping warm snuggled up in a favorite sweater and this dress from Zenith (available at Kustom9) reminds me of it, the dress version of it anyway. I thought this was such a nice dress, the texture is fabulous, not blurry at all which happens with a lot of knit textures. I kept it simple pairing it with my Maitrerya Devi boots in brown, Exxess Jagoda hair and Mandala Milky Way choker in brown. I was able to wear the dress with my Maitreya Lara body which always makes me a happy camper. Kustom9 is open and they has some really cute things I will try and get to blogging this week. Maybe if I can get another "cold rain day" off.
