Kermit was wrong...

Kermit the frog was wrong. He said it's not easy being green but I disagree. Ghee has made it easy to be green thanks to the current round of Color Me Project. This outfit is just elegant and ladylike. The hat, dress, clutch and shoes are all from Ghee and they all come with a hud so it's not just one shade of green to choose from but multiple shades of green from deep emerald to a light celery and all are lovely. The draped collar and buttons at the waist are lovely details that add to the elegance of this dress and the hat is adjustable size wise bit for me fit beautifully right out of the box. If you are feeling a retro and chic this is the dress for you.

Lost in the Blue

I have been in the midst of traveling between home and out of town because RL has needed a lot of my attention and will continue to for the foreseen future but when I get a moment to escape into SL and throw an outfit together I will try to blog it for you. Today I bring you the blues, well a shade of blue, tranquil, maybe a little sad, but calm and sedate. The dress is from Glam Affair and is available at Uber's rustic round. The sandals from Fri.day worked out very well although I did edit them a tad darker to compliment the dress more, love the fact these work with my Maitreya feet. I added the cuff from MUKA and it's edited as well from the blue setting on the hud to more closely match the dress. I really like this newer hair from Vanity, it's a pretty updo with a couple of loose whisps to make it not be too stiff and severe. I am sorry I am not more descriptive but I am pressed for time and this lovely dress almost speaks for itself.

Hi all, a quick post as I am still very busy in RL with an ill family member but I wanted to get this post in because I really liked the shoes and dress from the Kustom9 event. The Gali by soy. dress is super modern and simple but still offers a lot of minimalist style. It doesn't call for overdone jewelry or hair and the Gali by soy. sunglasses pair beautifully with it. The shoes are AMAZING from Glamistry and so very cool with an spear like heel and platform that will have all eyes on your sexy legs and feet. The shoes as with most Glamistry shoes have a multitude of color combination choices when you buy all the colors. Here I have them in all white to compliment this ensemble but I promise you the color choices/combinations are many and all look fabulous! These shoes pretty much say feminine and fierce! Prepared for Some Sun

It's hot here and the best place to cool off is in or near the water, like sailing or sitting on the dock with your feet in the water, whatever is the most relaxing is always a good choice. The one thing that really matters? Are you fashionably prepared for whatever you choose? I think my lying on the deck of the sail boat fingers in the water and feeling the breeze as my captain steers us out to deep water outfit is on point. Far From Neutral

Another day, another outfit! This dress is called Mia and its from VG by Victoria Grau and it makes me feel very sassy. It oozes attitude and it comes in various versions, metallic (which I am wearing), leather and denim all in neutral shades of beige which is the theme for this round. Beige is a neutral color but it's far from being neutral, this dress doesn't say middle of the road it says here I am dammit! Kim Kardashian-West despite whether you like her or not is an expert at taking neutral tones to a whole new level of sexy and shapely. This dress does the same the same and with the Mila sandals from A Piece of Chic you can stalk into the room and command attention. It won't take much to complete the outfit, some killer jewelry like this set from Chop Zuey and long loose wavy hair you can toss and peer out from by Truth will be plenty to keep you looking pulled together. To complete the neutral theme, take your room to the next level and with curtains from Icons of Style, and a great little furniture set featuring some nice beanbags with a ton of poses for men and women that can be picked up at a steal at CMP!

With a Cherry on Top

I mentioned in my previous post I had stopped into Collarbor88 and would be showing you a few things I purchased there and true to my word I am doing just that. I really like this round at 88 because it's bright, cheerful and summery. I have been feeling a little blue and the bright colors are a good pick me up. I was drawn to the pinkish watermelon color this round and I really like the top and skirt from fashionably dead. The top is fun and has a little sex appeal with its tied front and flash of cleavage. The skirt reminds me of a tropical watercolor painting and is a great length, not too short and not too long, perfect for summer sandals or flats. I used the very cute Decoy wedges I also bought at 88 as well as the Exile hair I purchased there for this post. Tres blah Sunglasses match perfectly and a sweet ice cream cone by Imeka available at...you guessed it, Collabor88. The ice cream cone comes in 5 "flavors" and all have a cherry on top :-)

Beige Isn't Boring

Color Me Project is in its newest round, this time the color is beige and a lot of you may think that could be a bit boring but the designers have pulled it off really well. There is nothing boring about beigehere, it can be classy and even edgy when done in the correct manner. I chose to go with a classy beige look that is still sexy and relatable. The dress from Sofie's Selection is very pretty with a cinched waist from the simple belt and a sexy slit on the side that unfortunately you can't see here but trust me gives a nice little flash of leg, I really like this dress a great deal. The shoes are also from CMP and are by Klepsydra. They are made for SLINK feet and have a nice little metal spike detail that is color changeable. The Icons of Style shopping bag poses that includes the shopping bags you will find at CMP and are fun to shoot! My hair, necklace, earrings and ring are all from this round of Collabor88 and also worth your time to visit. I will blog an outfit from there soon!

Fad Fashion Event

I dropped into the FAD Fashion Event this week, I was pleasantly surprised at the goodies I found. I went for one outfit I had gotten an notice on and not only purchased it but got this great set from Wicca's Wardrobe. The theme for the event is "Bird of Prey" and the designers did a great job interpreting it. Wicca's outfit is so well done, I love the texture for the fabric, the colors are earthy and rich, the mask is way cool and comes in lots of colors, The cut and detail are on point and it just has a pretty yet bad ass look to it. I could see this done very feminine and also warrior style. I thought I was gonna have a tough time with shoes because the color of the outfit although gold isn't brassy looking, but good ol Glamistry to the rescue! The Eranthis shoes were perfection! When you get the fatpack the color combinations are almost endless and I was able to pull all the colors from the outfit into the shoe combination. The combination of metallic leather and suede as well as the tiny details such as the charms that are attached to the buckle make the Glamistry shoes a real hit for me and BONUS they work with my Maitreya feet! Color me happy! I paired it with a  nice jewelry set from Lazuri called Eda and was thrilled the hud feature a choice of "Light Gold" so that I could keep the more neutral shade of gold going in the outfit. It is monochromatic but I like it and will be finding someplace to wear this again soon! Oh! and I almost forgot the NAILS! I was so excited to get nail polish from the FAD event for my Maitreya Hands and Feet! Plumby has a set of desert colors that are awesome! So much to choose from! I may need to go shop some more!

Color Me Turquoise

The turquoise theme of Color Me Project is going on and this dress from Sofie's Selection, I am hooked on. I am going to be cautious here because I was recently told by a designer that I should not be offering opinions or viewpoints that are my own or relevant to only me, that I should remain neutral and/or positive in all the things I blog. I think this kind of defeats what a blog is, but please be assured anything I do blog it's because I LIKE it and I LIKE this dress a lot. it's sexy with it's cut out sides and slit at the leg, low cut and the hood makes me feel a little mysterious. The low cut allows for adding a statement necklace and it's wide enough in the hood that earrings can be worn as well, that's a win/win! The hud that comes with the dress gives you choices of patterns all keeping with the turquoise theme and the very cool shoes are from this round of Color Me Project and were created by Sky. The shoes have some great details and are  made for Slink Feet or TMP feet. I really hope more designers will start creating for my Maitreya feet as well so I don't have to keep switching feet back and forth, the shoes however were worth the trouble. A quick note on the eye makeup, 90% of the time when I add a eye makeup layer to my outfits it is from Elymode, the reason why is because I love the options the choice of colors and style, and that she creates not only the over the top stuff but basic cat liner is colors that don't overwhelm and just accent, I get to keep looking like me with the addition of some color, YAY! N4RS for Uber's Spice Round

Been a rough weekend so it was great to talk to a dear friend who not only is a real sweetheart but an extremely talented designer. Ale sent me over his set that he created for this round of Uber. The theme is "Spice" and Ale did a tremendous job of interpreting the theme. The couch, print, chest and rug are all items you will find at Uber and all are gorgeous. He created detailed pieces from he comfy couch with the tone on tone pattern down to the intricate design and silver accents on the chest. Color Commentary

I love color, nevermind that I usually am always dressed in black, I actually love color. Being a RL artist and art educator my life is filled with color and that's probably why I was attracted to blogging for Color Me Project. Every round is a different color and gets me out of my black comfort zone. The upcoming round opening on the 25th is turquoise. There is some really cute things in it, this skirt and top are from zOOm and it's cute and quirky with it's tribal print. The skirt has a high waist, is short and tight adding some sex appeal to the whole outfit. I really think I may have to start being more purposeful in adding color to my every day wardrobe! I added one of my new favorite pairs of shoes, ECHIUM from Glamistry, I mentioned them in a earlier blog where I wore an all ivory pair but when you buy the fatpack with ALL the colors, you get so many color combinations you will be wearing these endlessly. The snakeskin accents create a pop of color that just makes them unique and fun to wear. The hair from [monso] called Min is available at Kustom9 as well.

Lazy Sunday

It took my a while to even get around to writing this and the photo is meh, because today really has been a lazy Sunday but at least I can be lazy and look good doing it thanks to my Gizza Scarlet Dress and VG Shoes. I picked up the GizzA dress at the Chapter Four event and actually got two of them because I couldn't decide between two of the patterns offered. It's a really cute boho style dress that comes with jewelry too! I am wearing the necklace and bracelet that comes with the dress as well as a Kitbitz necklace I picked up at The Secret Affair event. The shoes are at The Black Dot event and by VG. These are a really nice in between casual and dressy, they fit Slink mid feet and huge win on the platform because lately it seems everyone is into making super tall platforms on the shoes, (I call them stripper platforms) and it's just not really good for an everyday style for me. So thank you to VG Shoes for making something I can actually wear and walk in without breaking my neck. The hair is new from Truth and I grabbed my at the marketplace because, well, I hate the lag at the store. All the events I mentioned have items worth a look see so don't hesitate to go visit them!

Looking for the Light

I popped into Kustom9 today, despite not having a lot of time in SL with school wrapping up I wanted to take the time to blog this outfit. If you follow my blog at all you probably already know I am not big into over done outfits and am pretty minimalistic when it comes to what I wear. Don't get me wrong I want to look nice and pulled together I just tend to keep it clean and simple. I also tend to do A LOT of black so when spring finally arrives I have to fight the urge to stay in the black and look for the light. This DROP outfit is lovely, well made a an adorable bow on the back of the pants without looking too cutesy. I kept it all in ivory and paired some stunning shoes from Glamistry with the pants and top. These shoes are not done near the justice they deserve in this photo, they come with a hud that lets you customize the metals. the shoes are leather with snakeskin accents that can be color changed as well depending on how many colors you purchase. I am just gonna tell you right now, get the fat pack, you will be glad you did. I kept them all beige here but I had a hard time not accenting with the black on the snakeskin. These are some awesome shoes. The necklace and bracelet are from Mandala and the hair is new from Lamb at Collabor88.

Messy Hair, Don't Care

Look more purple! I had to do this super casual look just because it's just sooo comfy. When I am at home I am definitely a sweats kind of girl and when I saw this Eyelure top at Color Me Project I had to get it, it reads "Proud Supporter of  Messy Hair and Sweatpants". Well yeah, I am all on board with that support! The sweats are from IrEn and are low cut and sexy, the shoes are Flite lowtop Duck sneakers and the hair I grabbed at Collabor88 from Tableau Vivant. Laid back, chill and oh so comfy!

Color Me Project - Purple

Color Me Project newest round is purple which is my favorite color outside of black so I was pretty excited about this round. Real life has been kicking my ass and it's hard to find time for SL lately but I had to get me some purple love published! The dress is flirty and sexy and you should definitely be wearing some panties if you don't want to flash anyone while bending over or going a flight of stairs but if you like causing a little stir, then by all means flash away! I won't tell you if I am wearing any or not ;-)

The dress if from FLRN Design and the shoes are sexy times two from VG Shoes, I love the wood heel and platform, keeps them from being too formal and nice for everyday wear. Both items are at Color Me Project! Go, hurry, get some purple in your life!

Night Time is the Right Time

I have been out in NYC for a bit and finally returned home and there are so many great things needing to be blogged! I am very excited and super inspired after spending some time people watching and shopping when I wasn't working. Night time was my favorite time to people watch, the styles and individuality especially in the East Village was fun to take in. I think I need to be bolder in some of my fashion choices! So in that thought in mind I put together this outfit with pieces from this round of Color Me Project which features black as the color,  my all time favorite go to fashion color and from Glamistry's Kustom9 releases. It's sexy, bold and definitely has attitude for days. The shoes have a great hud for customizing and have all kinds of stylish details in the chain and heels, and the sunglasses, are just plain cool. I wanted to share another outfit from the Color Me Project today while I had some time. A sweet yet sexy two piece ensemble, ruffle crop top and sleek pencil skirt in a textured metallic fabric. It's not complicated it dressed up or down and it's really just pretty damn sexy. I paired it with another great find you can get at CMP, VG's Brooklyn high heel sandals are all kinds of sexy just by themselves. Big and bold Lazuri diamonds, Epoque's Scandal hair and I am ready for whatever the night brings!

Color Me Silver!

I am loving the silver round of the Color Me Project! Such cuteness abounds! The VG shoes this round are just fabulous, three exclusive style to CMP, and these Monaco flats are precious! I paired them with #187# glitter pants and the Orsini Red Boho blouse both at CMP. You really need to just stop reading and tp there, I will wait.....back? OK. Color Me Project Silver

Real Life has been kicking my ass busy wise, but I didn't want to let Color Me Project get away without a couple of posts! The color this round is silver and there are lots of goodies to be had! Exclusives and discounts galore in silver. I put this outfit together and thought it felt very much like I would probably own a vineyard so of course I would need to test each vintage. That's what I did with the great Champagne poses from IOS that are available at CMP. The top, necklace and shoes are ALL from CMP and you have to get them! The shoes from VG look amazing and not too "shiny" silver. The necklace from Persefona is lovely and chunky and makes a great statement. Glamistry, Valentina E, Truth and Lazuri

It's been such a busy time for me in RL but I still wanted to get a few blog posts in when I can and I really wanted to show of my Glamistry Linaria shoes! Love, love, love these shoes, fancier than just a mary jane with the chain strap, and metal trim. tons of color combinations and a sexy platform, these shoes will serve a multitude of stylish purposes. While sexy yet sophisticated I decided a dress that combined those same qualities was in order. Valentina E had the perfect dress to fit the bill. Called "You Won't Forget Me" I think it would be hard for anyone to forget you in this dress and these shoes. The scarf down the back calls attention to the sexy open back and  the sheerness of the scarf/blouse can be adjusted so you can me subtle or overt with the sexiness level. I brought out the diamonds and gem stones in my Lazuri Eva jewelry and the Truth Fynn hair is tousled but sophisticated and worked well with this dress. Pardon me while I bend over and adjust my skirt, and if it makes it harder to forget me, well that's all the better ;-)
