A Little Kate

Went shopping today in RL at a Kate Spade sell and was inspired to create a little Kate here in SL. I love her classic style and fun colors. Here’s to you Kate, thanks for making summer a bit brighter. I really was drawn to the Nya A-line skirt and the Mon Tissu eyelet top is a summer staple. I added the COCO cardigan for a bit more color and no preppy girl will be without one of her many watches to make sure she is on time and not always pulling out that cell phone to check what time it is. The jewelry is from waaaayyy back in my early days of SL and is simple and cute, and sometimes that is good enough and the Miam Miam items are like 10L on the marketplace. Some of you "old timers" will remember these pieces! The Gos espadrilles always a summer favorite and the classic/vintage hair by Lelutka just a nice neat style for a Kate girl.

Ice Cream Casual

Day three of summer break and my third outfit, now I suspect I can’t keep this up daily all summer but I would like to stay pretty regular in my fashion blog postings. Today is a casual day, I tend to dress my avi how I dress in RL or would if I had the budget my avi has translated in to RL! When I am casual and running around I keep things super simple and comfy. The cardigan/shirt combo is a lot of fun, and by getting the shirt hud I am able to change the look with several options. You can pretty much never go wrong with anything from Maitreya and the cropped pants are no exception, they are made well, nice details and fit where they should. I have had the UBU Porn Star Low Tops forever and I love the ability to customize them to my hearts content and honestly they will give even the newest products out there a run for their craftsmanship money, I will love these for a long time. The cute and casual updo from Truth is a nice addition to ones hairstyle selections as it can be dressed up or down depending on your outfit. All in all, this is a pretty simple look but a nice one for a little trip to visit the neighborhood ice cream vendor.

Tropical Nights

Day two of summer break, I am on a roll, two posts in two days! I popped into the FashionArt event, picked up a few things but my favorite was this gown from Snowpaws. I love the vintage feel to this gown, the lightness of the chiffon ruffles and the bright color. I know my last post included Lazuri jewelry and you'd think I was a spokes person for Lazuri, but it's kinda of my go to when I can't find fancy jewels at Chop Zuey. Plus I LOVE all the choices in my Lazuri jewels, changing colors and combinations make me so very happy. I know I can get the perfect match for an outfit. The hair is from Amacci, I use to shop there a lot then of course I get distracted by other designers but when I go into the Amacci shop I always find something I like, I will start checking in more frequently for my hair needs! I love this look for a formal summer event. FashionArt closes soon so if you haven't been head over and shop to your hearts content.

Cafe Day

School is out for the summer and I have more free time so I thought I would get back to blogging now that I can manage it time wise. First post for the summer is from my visit to Cheeky Tiramisu Cafe where I perused the baked goods and ordered cafe au lait. I really like this outfit, elegant but not too dressy for a day of shopping or sipping a drink on the patio. The dress comes in several color combinations and I like it enough I may have to head back and get another! Lucia at Swallow, so very very nice, I purchased the sunglasses and had a problem and she helped me out right away and was so very kind to share the clutch and earring with me, so I want to say here also thank you to her. Good service makes for a committed customer and I am definitely one! Thank you Lucia! I was able to find shoes at JD and I have to say I am very happy with them and the feet, I own most every pair of feet created and these are up there with my favorites! Lazuri necklace and bracelets, well you can't really go wrong with anything from Luzari and I love my Truth side ponytail for classy casual. The White Armory for The Fantasy Collective

I had the pleasure of receiving the very elegant Totally In Sync Gown from Bee Dumpling of The White Armory and what a pleasure to wear something so beautiful! The dress was created for the Fantasy Collective and is well worth a visit.This dress comes in 5 common colors and 2 rare. The color pictured is a rare called Glacier. A subtle pattern on the dress gives visual interest and the tulle trim on the bodice ups the elegance factor another notch. A very low back is sexy and only reveals enough to keep people as attentive when you are leaving the room as when you entered. Add some beautiful jewelry, and your highest heels and you are ready to dazzle and sparkle.

The Artistry of Mohna Lisa Couture

The artistry of two creatives come together in one dress. Mohna Lisa pays homage to Gustav Klimt. I am wearing a design based on "The Kiss" by Gustav Klimt, this dress, along with the others that honor the artist are exquisitely made, have a vintage feel that translates the era of Klimt into modern fashion. The gathering on the hip shows the attention to detail is one of the many things you can count on in an MLC gown. The halter and low back fit beautifully. Included accessories like the belt and glove along with a matching sheer wrap (not pictured) all add to the elegance and beauty of the gown. I would suggest you invest in this dress and you too can appreciate both artists and their beautiful work.

Bubbles

Every once in awhile I get the urge to do something a  little vintage and when Thorn Witrail of Golden Thorn dropped these poppable bubbles on me the other day I put them on and  I knew I would be shooting a vintage bath scene.  Artilleri is still one of my favorite go to stores for vintage furniture and the Stanfield bathroom set was perfect. All I needed was my Beth hair from Lelutka, and mesh feet from GOS and I was transported in time. Thank you Thorn for the little mental spa vacation!
